Join SixTwelve in the Paseo Arts District for their third annual fundraising event - a spectacular Mardi Gras Ball! Enjoy OKC's true Mardi Gras experience and support a non-profit that is all about giving to the OKC community.

SixTwelve is dedicated to our mission of  "Sharing Tools to Build a Better Community," and provides educational experiences such as a PreK program, The Young School, an urban farming program, community events and meeting spaces, and a residency exchange with Savannah, Georgia for artists, film makers, writers, chefs, urban farmers and more!

Join us Saturday, February 18th from 8-11pm for fun, food provided by Picasso's, live Zydeco music by the great Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band, art, and a whole lot of dancing! White-tie is optional, and masks (and beads!) are strongly encouraged.

VOTE FOR YOUR MARDI GRAS BALL KING AND QUEEN or KING AND KING!

Welcome to our Third Annual SixTwelve Mardi Gras Ball (and SixTwelve's birthday party!) While we are young, we are hoping to plant the seeds for an event that will happen annually for years to come! One aspect of keeping to Mardi Gras tradition is the formation of "krewes" (pronounced "crew.")  Mardi Gras krewes not only create floats for parades or throwing parties, some even donate their proceeds to local community charities and causes. This year, thanks to the generosity of David and Vicki Hunt and Scotty Irani and Monty Milburn we are continuing on last year's establishment of the first two SixTwelve Mardi Gras Krewes, with the intent of starting more krewes in the next few years. These groups will not only help raise funding, but will also eventually help us to grow the event to the point of having a parade!

If you love David, Vicki, Scotty and Monty as much as we do, take a moment to vote for the King and Queen you'd like to see wearing the crown. Whoever raises the most funding will be crowned during the SixTwelve Mardi Gras ball on February 18th, 2017!

David and Vicki Hunt are long term residents of Oklahoma City. David is an attorney at the firm of Gable Gotwals and Vicki is an incredible community volunteer. Both believe that a thriving arts community is a requirement for Oklahoma City to be a strong, vibrant and successful city. They are supporters of many visual and performing arts organization , including Oklahoma City Ballet, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, and Oklahoma Contemporary, and of course SixTwelve.

From David and Vicki: "We feel that SixTwelve does a wonderful job of making the arts available to our community, especially to children at a time when so many schools are losing funding for these programs. We are proud and thrilled to be lending our support to 612 as contestants for Mardi Gras King and Queen!"
