Paul and Amanda

Paul and Amanda

Paul Mays grew up with his feet in the mud and his heads in the clouds. He is captivated by opossoms, turtles, and kids and loves most to create, especially when it involves soil, plants and fungi. Paul’s path first crossed SixTwelve’s in 2013 and he at once recognized magic. He has been working as Director of Permaculture ever since. Amanda Zoey has been cultivating her art form over the years in a variety of expressions, from illustration and installations; to mixed media and jewelry design. With a background in art and graphic design, she left school to cultivate her artist career and launch DNA galleries, an artist made retail store and gallery in Oklahoma City’s Plaza District in 2007. Amanda has been a part of the Oklahoma City public art scene for over a decade where she has worked on large scale murals both solo and collaboratively. Recently she has broadened her vision to bridge the gap between her works of art and passion for the outdoors by incorporating flowers foraged from fields around the city and grown in her cutting garden. Paul and Amanda invite you to join them in supporting all that SixTwelve is giving to our community by donating/voting for them!

Emily & Michael

Emily Sutton and Michael Zurmehly are super excited and honored to be nominated for the SixTwelve Mardi Gras Ball 2019 Queen and King!  Emily and Michael love Amy's creation of SixTwelve and hope its forward-thinking and creative approach is the future for communities all across central Oklahoma...and maybe THE WORLD!

Emily Sutton joined the 4Warn Storm Team in December 2009 as KFOR-TV’s first female meteorologist. She started on air a few weeks before Oklahoma City’s largest snowstorm, the “Christmas Eve Blizzard,” and has been experiencing Oklahoma extremes ever since. She had her rear window of her storm chase vehicle blown out by the May 31, 2013 El Reno tornado!  Sutton is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) by the American Meteorological Society and has been awarded the National Weather Association (NWA) Seal. She is the only meteorologist in Oklahoma with both seals. Emily is passionate about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) and loves to sing and dance!

In 2013 she met a hunky firefighter at a gas station.  He invited her to the Moore Fire Department the next day, he asked for her number and they've been inseparable ever since.  Emily hails from The Windy City and Michael hails from The Windy State - Oklahoma! Michael is from Midwest City originally and attended Bishop McGuinness High School. He played baseball for Connors State and Missouri Southern before returning to the Sooner State for EMT School and joining the fire department in 2012.  Michael's other passion is working out.  In 2017 he was crowned Mr. Oklahoma for natural bodybuilding.

Michael and Emily love to eat, hike, travel and be dog parents to their fur kids Okie (5) and Winnie (2)! They recently moved to Edmond.

Emily, Michael, Okie and Winnie are thrilled to be nominated for your 2019 Queen, King and Court Jesters! Please donate to this wonderful cause! We hope to see you at the Mardi Gras Ball!
