Lainee Copeland, founder of Edmond Urban Chickens has been sharing her love and knowledge of backyard chickens since 2015. A homeschool mom that wanted her three boys to have a bit of her "farm life" childhood without moving out of the suburbs, they started their backyard chicken adventure in their Edmond backyard with 6 chicks. This learning journey grew into a much larger learning experience than they had ever imagined and led to a 3 year movement to convince the City of Edmond to change their backyard chicken policy to allow laying hens within the city. If you are interested in keeping a small urban flock Lainee will take you under her wing and give you the confidence you need to get started and succeed!
