Bella Burns 2026 Recording Resident

Bella Burns is an Afro-Latina singer-songwriter originally from Dallas, Texas, now based in Oklahoma City. A former collegiate volleyball player, Burns credits her background in competitive sports for shaping her discipline, work ethic, and deep appreciation for collaboration—qualities that now define her approach to music.

Blending elements of neo-soul, alternative R&B, and pop, Bella creates emotionally rich records that explore love, heartbreak, and the complexities of the human experience. Since beginning her release journey in July 2024, she has quickly built momentum, highlighted by her latest single, Medicine, released March 29.

In a short time, Burns has established herself as a dynamic live performer, appearing at major events including Juneteenth on the East festival (twice) and recently, Norman Music Festival. She has also been featured as a panelist for the Oklahoma City Thunder and participated in the Factory Obscura Sunny Dayz: Voices of the Music Industry, reflecting her growing influence across both music and culture. Her live show combines powerful vocals, intentional choreography, and high-energy performance, creating an immersive experience that resonates with diverse audiences.

Deeply inspired by artists such as Erykah Badu, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Beyoncé, Stevie Wonder, and Earth, Wind & Fire, Burns brings an eclectic perspective to her sound — grounded in soul, but unafraid to evolve.

“Music, to me, is one of the few things that can truly bring people together—no matter where they come from or what they’ve been through. It creates a space where people can feel seen and connected without having to say a word.”
