Tiffany mcknight, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

During Tiffany McKnight's 2016 SixTwelve Residency, she not only designed a custom wallpaper for us, we also connected her to Ketch Design Centre here in Oklahoma City to represent that wallpaper. Now anyone can purchase it for themselves and both Tiffany and SixTwelve will receive a portion of the profits. We were also honored to collaborate with Penny Candy Books, as they printed an adult coloring book of Tiffany's patterns, "NUVEAU: The Future of Patterns."

Born in Miami, FL and raised in Tulsa, OK, Tiffany McKnight received her BFA in Studio Art with a focus in Printmaking from the University of Oklahoma in 2012. A self-proclaimed color addict, McKnight pivoted away from printmaking to embrace a kaleidoscopic body of work that includes pattern making and illustration that is inspired by African textiles, Art Nouveau, biology, and natural flora and fauna.

McKnight is the author of “NUVEAU: The Future of Patterns,” an intensely detailed coloring book for pattern lovers, published by Penny Candy Books. She is also a contributing illustrator in the book, Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Black Boy by Tony Medina. You can find her patterns on the labels of San Francisco’s Clearly Kombucha products, luxury wallpaper produced in collaboration with SixTwelve and Ketch Design Centre, and wrapping paper for the Curbside Chronicle’s ‘Wrap Up Homelessness’ program. In 2017 Tiffany was chosen as one of the contributing artists to Factory Obscura, an art collective bringing a new, immersive experience to Oklahoma City. She continues her work with Factory Obscura in 2018 with their latest experience BEYOND.
